Best Intentions

Friday Morning I woke up with the best intentions of getting some sewing in.  You know what they say about best intentions right?

I fought with my machine trying to piece my drunkard's path blocks.
I finally got it going and no more thread breaks.  Does anyone else have problems with humidity and thread breakage or is it just me?

Then I got distracted reading blogs.  Then I entered a give away at Maureen Cracknell Handmade and while I was doing it I found a new online shop Stash Fabrics and they had fabric that I have wanted for a long time so I ordered those.

The daughter called she needed a part for her washer so I looked that up and sent the information to DH to pick the part up on the way home from work.

A Girlfriend called her car window needs repaired so I made arrangements for her to come to get it fixed by DH Saturday.

By then it was Lunch and almost 1 pm and I didn't get a whole lot of anything done.  ::(

But sometimes Best Intentions have a blessing.  Remember me calling DH Conan the plant destroyer here?  Well yesterday while we were taking care of the chicks I saw something growing in my garden.
The Rhubarb that he ran over with the tiller.  Yep I now I have 5 rhubarb plants growing and another volunteer strawberry.

So while things don't always go the way I want them.  They always manage to work out somehow.

  1. Way to look on the positive side :*) I tend to get distracted very easily - for example, I am supposed to be packing for retreat right now, but I had to get something off the computer, and then I thought I should at least check my emails, and then I clicked over to Blogger without even thinking about it, and here I am reading blogs and commenting LOL!!! Sometimes you just have days where you are there to be a blessing to others!

  2. It looks as though you're as good at distractions as I am at pervarication!

  3. Perhaps Conan the Plant Destroyer is now Kokopelli the Plant Multiplier!
