Piddling Around

Days are flying past.  I can't believe it has been almost a week since I posted, but then I don't have a whole lot to show.
Quilting on the bag lady quilt from 2015.  I need to figure out a name for this quilt.

These are the Dresdens that I made from what I found in my MIL stash.  The center is partially sewn down, but the outer ones aren't.  I think it needs more and I fiddled with different flowers for a couple of hours on Saturday.

I wandered down to the LQS to pick up the row by row for 2016.

It is a mixture of piecing, applique, and embroidery.

Of course while I was there I picked up some fat quarters.

I also picked up some fabrics for a birthday gift for one of the older grand daughters.
The fabric on the far left I loved instantly, the color, and how it looked like feathers.  So I had to get a couple of yards.

We have been swimming almost daily.  The other day we had a visitor in our pool.

He hung out on the liner up under the rail, until DH came home, then he and the boys moved it to the nearby pond.

I also had to share some of my radishes from my garden.

I think the D cell battery gives you a good idea of how really big these are.  They were yummy.

So I am kind of piddling around here and there trying to get something accomplished.

  4. Your quilt top looks lovely! The frog is soooo cute! And I absolutely love the row you picked up. How fun! Your radishes are reminding me I need to take a peek at our garden (it's been raining off and on and we've had a few "life" interruptions recently.) Enjoy!
