Annual PiggyBank Challenge

Whew I made it this year.  The last few years I have fallen by the wayside, or missed the posting for the piggy bank challenge.  Due to travel.

My jar is a 1/2 gallon canning jar.

I know the little men have snagged some for the book fair as payment for helping around the house, but this is what was in my jar and car where I keep my change for the year.

I counted, sorted, and then rolled and stashed it away for the future.

I finished with $108.74 for the year.  Not too bad considering I do not go out and about often.  I think I will use it toward some quilting rulers for my quilting machine

  1. You did so well; I've never done this challenge, but I have always taken change from the dryer (having fallen out of pockets and put it in an old piggy bank I have) calling it "mine" since I do do the wash ;)))..
There used to be a whole lot more when the kids were home, but now just the two of us--so it's dropped off quite a bit...waaah;(((

  3. Great results. We do save coins, but they end up in the bank as well. We used to save quarters for the grandkids to play the animal machines, but alas they are all grown up.

  4. We save our and roll it and deposit it too. We use a metal popcorn tin. You would be surprised how quickly it adds up

  8. What a great thing to spend your savings on. We always saved change in my first marriage...once we had over $300 and bought a picture for the living room. It's like free money.

  9. That's a great amount of money to buy some rulers. I love rulers for quilting but they're so expensive!
