I Like Thursday #50

Wow I almost didn't post this week.  I have been a contemplative mood, not a bad, or sad, just kind of I don't want to.  I don't want to put my Christmas decorations away.  I have some deadlines I need to meet.  I have my first Charity Sew Day of the Year next Thursday.  I guess I am overwhelmed, to the point I didn't do anything the last couple of days.  But I am going to persevere....even though the universe is actually working against me.  My pictures all came out upside down, sideways, how can that happen seriously?  OK enough of my complaints this is I Like Thursday.  I will show you mine, then head over to LeeAnna's at Not Afraid of Color to see everyone else's.

I like wearing silly t-shirts.  Especially since dirt, and me are synonymous around here.  I usually have mud on me somewhere.  Oh the joys of a farm in the winter when it is wet.  (Rolling Eyes).

Some are sewing related:

Some are chicken related....

And some just speak to my soul at a specific time....

This one really got me.  In case you can't see what it says....The hardest thing is the last Goodbye especially if you didn't know it really was the very Last one.
And this one.....yes it is the Beatles, but it has so much meaning....sometimes you just need to listen to the voice that Whispers words of wisdom let it be.

I started with a tiny tree, there was a suggestion by my mom.  Start new, buy a new tree, something you always wanted, buy ornaments you always wanted, that you couldn't have because you had little kids.  So I did...

I bought some vintage ornaments.
I also bought some Old World Christmas ornaments.

Recently a friend wanted to go to a quilt retreat and I knew I would need some pajama pants.  I love these pajama pants that I found.

I bought 3 pair.  A Gray pair, a navy blue pair and a black pair.

I have started to wear fingerless gloves when I get cold.
When I saw these, I also saw a cowl scarf, so I bought one too.  It is gorgeous.

Finally while my house is very big, my doors are very narrow, so it is difficult to get furniture into the house.  I have been looking for a loveseat because I don't really have the room in the front room for a couch.

It arrived in a box about 3 ft by 3 ft, and you put it together. Seriously it came in a 3 x 3 box!

Now head over to LeeAnna's and check out the other I like Thursdays.

  3. Hi Colette! You have some very, very, VERY cool t-shirts! I really LOVE the Words of Wisdom, and the dragonfly last goodbye. Oh, how poignant they are. Your new pj pants look very comfy, as does your new love seat. A 3' square foot box!! How is that possible?!! Happy Thursday! ~smile~ Roseanne

  4. How did they shrink that couch!!! Amazing. Your new tree and ornaments are very special. You are nesting. Take the time you need to feel better... we'll all be here rooting you on. I LOVE the shirts and new pants. What great images and sayings to share with us. An abundance of fun images for all of us today.
To do a post on likes, when you are not in the mood in particular, I've found, helps me to focus. I am also doing my share of sitting and staring this week.
    Love to Bobbin too!

so I think because we finally put everything away for the year I will be feeling better now...

  10. I love your tshirt collection! So many cool ways of looking at life that day. Except the goodbye one-but I would wear that too. I cannot believe that couch fit in a 3 x 3 box. Nice. I dread putting the "stuff' away tomorrow. The house will seem so blah without pretty decos. Hope your weekend is better. (mine too). mary
