I Like Thursday #35

Welcome to my I Like Thursday #35.

I like downtown Portland, the architecture, but I especially like the main Multnomah County Library.

Portland saves their buildings and instead of tearing down, figure out how to utilize the original architecture in their new builds.

I like this flower at my mom's house but she cannot remember what the name of it is.

I like there little butterfly/moths that flit from flower to flower.  This one actually sat and posed for me.
I loved the cute little face.

I like this dress shop in the Old Town Gresham called Bernie Dexter.

They are 50's retro looking.   If only I was thin I would wear these.

And such cute purses.

Finally I like the urban farms, and farmer's market called grower's outlet.

Now wander over to LeeAnna's at Not Afraid of Color and check out the other I Like Posts.

  3. Nice! Have you looked at Gertie's patterns? She has a lot of retro dress patterns you can make yourself. I have thought about it but haven't been brave enough to try.

  8. I want to visit portlandia sometime too. That dress shop is adorable... did you get anything? What about Bobbin, did she get anything? Love historical buildings. Sometimes I put my hand on them trying to feel their collective energy but none yet.

The shop window is so cute. Yeah, those waist days are long gone!

  11. Hi Collette! I've missed you. I enjoyed reading about your visit to see your mom and dad, and the birthday celebration. How fun!! Bobbin looks like she has fun wherever she is, as long as you're there! I've never visited Oregon at all but sure would like to one day. It's on my list to finish up seeing all 50 states. ~smile~ Roseanne

  13. Huzzah for Portland that they 'recycle' their buildings. Here in Montana, it seems people feel that we have all the acreage in the world, so build, build build! I also like those dresses, but I now have a one out, one in policy - and I can't justify getting rid of anything I have in my closet!
