I like "found" money. I guess it isn't really found because it isn't lost, but I throw my change, including bills in this little drawer in my car near the driver's door. I was taking my car in for service so decided maybe I should clean my car up.
Um yes, I will ashamedly admit as I go through drive thru I will throw my change into the little drawer. I brought it in, took out the large bills, and put the rest in my piggy bank challenge jar.
I like my wool pressing mat, and recently saw a post from ModaLissa showing how sometimes you just need to press a seam open, and this little tool really helps!
It does help when you want to press a really bulky seam open for quilting.
I like these bookmarks I found at Hobby Lobby.
As you all know I use homemade starch, but my bottle is always falling over. I saw this cool bottle, clamp and had to have one. It is called Iron EZ.
I love cardinals, and I love this little round one my daughter saw and decided that I just had to have in my garden. He is so cute I really don't want to put him outside.
I have purchased a couple of these dog platforms for training Bobbin. This is where she is supposed to sit when I tell her place (stay).
They are also a nice cool place for dogs to lay when it is hot because of the mesh.
I saw this jar at the store and had to have it. I know silly.
Its an actual canning jar and it looks like a strawberry.
Finally I share a book I like each week. I alluded that there was a book I wanted to download and read, and accidentally downloaded a different one. Well this is the one I wanted to read. Great story, and from what I understand it is a series.
I am working at reading some books that I have picked up recently so not too sure when I will get to the next but definitely on my list.
Now head over to LeeAnna's to see the other I Like Posts.
thanks for your cornucopia of neat things you liked!! And for the book suggestion--being a big mystery fan that looks good...hugs for a happy weekend of stitching..and/or gardening
ReplyDeleteit's finally that time of year, right:))) hugs, Julierose
Good Morning, Colette... many interesting things to see here. I love that little cardinal. I have a little sleeping cat that is supposed to be a garden ornament that has never been outdoors and has sat for years near my bed. Every once in a while one of my kitties stares at it and pokes it to see why it does not move. That bed looks comfy for Bobbin. Doggies can get so hot in the warm weather. She looks like she is waiting to be "released" there. That wool pressing tool is on
ReplyDeletemy "list" and the clamp bucket for your spray bottle is a good idea. Thanks for sharing Thursday with me ... :) Pat
great list!!! Bobbin looks like she's in trouble! lol
ReplyDeletethe jar and cardinal are terrific additions to make the house feel new again. Funny about how the money accumulated little by little. Like pounds on my waistline.
Oh, I do that with my drive-thru change as well. And we have our coffee can for the loose change in the house. The dog platform reminds me of a mini trampoline for some reason. Hope you have a wonderful Thursday!
ReplyDeletelots of good things, I have a change jar! I need to empty it out and take it to the bank.
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed reading your likes this week! Found change can really add up - that's how we started our son's college savings account - I think it was $80 worth, lol! Your strawberry jar is fun, and the special platform for Bobbin looks so useful.
ReplyDeleteFound money is the best! I see why you liked that jar. I've not seen that tool to press open seams - how does it work?
ReplyDeleteFound money is like a gift!! Love the strawberry jar...I love glass jars!
ReplyDeleteI love saving change and then counting it...like mad money. I too have a thing for cardinals. I think I saw one at Homesense that looked like yours. I bought a bowl there even though I didn't need one...it had blackberries on it.
ReplyDeleteI've never seen those little pads for dogs...interesting.
Thanks for the book recommendation! My husband tosses his change, well used to, now he has a Tim Horton's card, and a McDonald's card, so rarely needs cash! Love that little cardinal! I love them too; very appreciative of them because they aren't in Alberta, so seeing them here in Ontario is always a treat. And we have lots. Love their song too. Not too much longer until we're picking and eating strawberries!
ReplyDeleteLots of fun things to like. Bobbin looks like she also likes her platform
ReplyDeleteBobbin is look at you so adoringly! My husband and I are both change throwers. When our jars get too full, we cash them in for gift cards. I love your strawberry jar and cardinal statue! so sweet! Have a great week!
ReplyDeleteI have a clamp on cup holder, but never use it. Clamping it to the ironing board to hold my spray bottle is a great idea, thanks.
ReplyDeleteHi Colette. I thought that was a trampoline for Bobbin. LOL I enjoy finding money. That strawberry is perfect for strawberry jam! That bottle clamp for the ironing board is a great idea. Have a wonderful day. mary
ReplyDeleteI'm as silly Siouxzq. I have bought single canning jars at thrift shops because I like the shape, the bumps, or the spirit it shines. We have an old cookie tin in which we dump our spare change. Nothing to be ashamed about. :-)
ReplyDeleteI need that water bottle holder. I have broken so many of them from drops.
ReplyDeleteLast time Mick took our loose change into the bank, it was a couple of hundred. Seems like lost money....grin.
ReplyDeleteIt's always a surprise to see how much that "found" money adds up to. You have lots of cool likes this week. Bobbin looks adorable on that "stay" mat!
