I Like Thursday #78

Welcome to my 78th I like Thursday post.  Thank you to LeeAnna of Not Afraid of Color for encouraging us each week to find and share things we like/love.

I have been cleaning up my flower garden pulling these big tall weeds called Amaranth and thistle.  At one point this summer I had planted some marigolds and sweet peas.  Well the chickens stomped them into the ground I thought.  Well I was pleasantly surprised.

I went to get Chinese the other night and thought these pigs were cute.  I guess they have them to celebrate it being the Year of the Pig.

Samantha occasionally sees things on a close out table and grabs them up.

This time it was a unicorn pet hat.

Obviously Lucy was not amused.

Bobbin is just too cute and always a willing model.  LOL

My book of the week is the 5th book in the Braxton Campus Mysteries by James Cudney.  I have enjoyed getting to know the characters.

Well I must run, I have a deadline of 5 pm on Thursday to turn in my challenge quilt and I am not quite done quilting, and ended up with a row of quilting that needs to be taken out and it is late.  *Sigh*

Head over to LeeAnna's and check out the other I Like Posts at Not Afraid of Color.

  3. Can we just comment on the fact that your house is magical enough for unicorns? I've not heard of that author... might need to check him out. I saw amaranth for the first time this year at the botanic gardens.
    Snowing here now... LeeAnna

  5. OMG, Colette!! Sweet Bobbin the unicorn! We haven't had a picture of Bobbin for a bit - and what a wonderful unicorn she makes. Yeah, Lucy wasn't buying in, was she?!! Love the little yellow marigold flowers - I'm glad they survived the girls' stomping. ~smile~ Roseanne

  6. I think Lucy in the unicorn hat wins the photo of the week. Her expression is fabulous. And your flowers are so nice! I still have a couple of marigolds left, they look lonely but are still blooming!
