November Thankful Day 24

Black Friday- No I am not shopping.  What am I doing the Friday after Thanksgiving?  Well Bonnie Hunter's Mystery QAL On Ringo Lake!

24. November 24-  I am thankful for quilters who share their talent with QAL, SAL, and mystery quilts.  Especially this year it will fill the long winter days while I wait for spring to make it's appearance.

I purchased my fabrics a while back.

Aqua to turquoise.  I chose lights mediums and darks.

Coral to melon....maybe some of them are more orange but I think they will work.
 Creamy beiges.

Warm toasty type browns.

I think this will work.  Less Bobbin--wait she is warm toasty brown.

23.  November 23-  I am thankful for Jeff
He actually was hamming it up a couple of days before he died.

22.  November 22-  I am thankful for chickens and the eggs they provide

21.  November 21-  I am thankful for Family
Trying to get a family picture at times is like herding cats.

19.  November 19-  I am thankful for flowers

18.  November 18-  I am thankful for blogging and the friends I have made

17.  November 17-  I am thankful for quilting

16.  November 16-  I am thankful for Calder's Dairy and Egg nogg

15.  November 15-  I am thankful for my options to worship

14.  November 14-  I am thankful for my Kindle and all the books that I have the opportunity to read, and the local library.  I can listen to my Kindle while sewing.  I have read over 140 books so far this year.

13.  November 13.  I am thankful for Lucy the cat.

12.  November 12--I am thankful for Bobbin

11.  November 11  I am thankful for my tenacious character to get things done.

10.  November 10--I am thankful for fall.

9.  November 9 I am thankful for saved items.  Maybe I should call them hoarded items.

One year Jeff and I planted sweet potatoes in a raised bed.  The voles ate them, and what we got were bits and pieces of what were probably gigantic sweet potatoes.  So I thought how about a tub.  Of course Jeff came home with an old bathtub.  I sanded the rust off , and he painted it an awesome bronze color.  And we planted sweet potatoes....and we planted too many in the tub so we had these long thin stringy looking things.  Someday I will again attempt the sweet potato growing.

8.  November 8--I am thankful for music.

7.  November 7-- I am thankful for the Boy Scout organization.

 6.  November 6--I am thankful that I can shop online.

5.  November 5--I am thankful that I could get new doors in my home to add more light.

4.  November 4.   I am thankful for coffee.

3.  November 3.  I am thankful for the roof over my head.  I love falling asleep to the rain on the standing seam steel roof which is over 150 years old.

2.  November 2.    I am thankful for the fact my feet hit the floor every morning, whether I want to get out of bed or not.

1.  November 1.  I am thankful for every morning I wake up--too many people don't get to see the light of another day.  Thinks about it how would you act if you knew that today was your last day on Earth?  Today is a gift.  Tomorrow is not promised.

  4. Good Morning,
One day late but I am still enjoying! Oh my, that little Bobbin . . . his coloring does just fit right in, doesn't it. Sweet little puppy! Ooh, those new fabrics (or old - whatever) they all look divine together. I love starting new projects. And pictures of your sweet Jeff are even more precious now. {{Hugs}} I have to agree about the chicken and the eggs - I eat a hardboiled egg every day and I love them! HAHA - family and herding cats. Yup - been there. No one is ready at the same time, but we still love them all and will keep them all. Yesterday's gathering was just the best. ~smile~ Roseanne

  5. Me too. I can hardly wait to start mine. Our Thanksgiving is tomorrow so it will have to be after that. I hope that little pup will be a big help. ;-)

  7. Yes, Bobbin is warm and toasty brown and creamy beige, and, it looks like her collar matches, too. I'm sure she will be a great help with this mystery.
