Since we have those old fashioned tall, narrow windows one of these blocks will almost fill the window. Love the way my contrary wife block turned out!
I also managed to get one jewel box block done. This is my green block. Then I kind of stalled. I wanted to make a block with purples but with all of this....
Still not quite what I am looking for but maybe between all the strip groups in the bin and the few I purchased I will be able to put one together which is pleasing.
I dedicated Thursday to machine quilting. Maybe if I had a long arm machine I wouldn't mind it so much, but it seems at times that it takes forever. I got all of my squiggly lines done on the diagonal, and one in the yellow border around the quilt, now I am doing just a kind of straight back and forth in the blue, then just long lines in the final border.
The sun is out and I would love to go to a quilt shop which is kind of far away. I also want some St. Patrick type of fabric with Shamrocks to make a mug rug I saw on a tutorial. Maybe today would be a good day to get out of the house and enjoy the sunshine. It is early, I can machine quilt for a while, then head out to explore.
Have a great Friday everyone!
Love your green barn.
ReplyDeleteLook at all those pretty batik fabrics. You will be making some really pretty blocks from those.
Yes, get out in the sunshine and go explore. We have a beautiful sunny day here in NC too.
