Time to Sew

I will admit it.  I waste a lot of time during the day cleaning up my e-mail box, reading blogs, and surfing pinterest.  I see so many wonderful ideas, quilts, quilt blocks, patterns, and the list goes on , and on, and on.  Today I am thankful for time.  The time to appreciate what I have received, the good times, the bad times, times of joy, and the times of sorrow.  There are many days I lament I wish I had more time in the day.  But then I think, how time seems to fly by.  My great grandmother said that the older you got the faster time seemed to go.  Remember when you were a kid and it seemed like forever until your Birthday, Summer Vacation, or Christmas, or until you were old enough to not have to have an adult take you to the library down the street,  or drive you to piano lessons.  My mother turned 70 the other day, which means in a short while I will turn 50, Kate my daughter will turn 30, and Lillian the grand daughter will turn 10.  Yes that is 4 generations we are all 20 years apart.  I lament the fact I never made it back home and had the time to travel with my mother, Kate, and Lillian to the reservation to have a picture taken with my grandmother Josephine Peters with the 5 generations of Grant women.  May you always have time to be thankful, and make time for others.

I found some gold fabric and make a couple more Country Charmer blocks.

Only 12 more of those to go now.

I then cleaned up my sewing room just a wee bit, and grabbed Lazy Sunday Mystery out of it's project box.  I am on step 3 of 4.  I pulled the fabrics, and cut
 And cut.

And cut.

312 - 2 1/2 inch squares
156-2 1/2 x 41/2 inch rectangles
24- 3 1/2 inch squares.

I looked at the clock and it was after 3pm!  I haven't even started sewing this part.  Time flies while I cut, and listen to books on my kindle.

  3. Isn't it amazing how time flies the older you get. There are times though when I am really anticipating something and time seems to slow like when I was a child.
